A woman has been charged after allegedly using a pram to knock an elderly woman to the ground in a confronting incident captured on CCTV in Queensland.

Police allege the incident unfolded about 9:25am on Adelaide Street in Maryborough's central business district on Monday, when a woman pushing a pram shoved another woman, causing her to fall.

The footage of the incident shows the moment the pram makes contact, sending the older woman to the ground in front of a store.

A 42-year-old woman has been charged with committing public nuisance (violent) and is due to face Maryborough Magistrates Court on Tuesday.

CCTV captures the moment a woman allegedly uses a pram to knock an elderly woman to the ground in Maryborough's CBD. The elderly woman falls to the ground after being struck by a pram in the middle of the footpath.

Police are continuing to investigate and are appealing for the victim, or anyone with information, to come forward.
