After successfully pairing up 'Perth's hottest bachelor' Adam Justice with his romantic match last week, Triple M Perth's Breakfast team is playing Cupid once again. They have introduced local bachelorette Sarah Watkins to listeners, giving her a chance at love through the segment Match Me If You Can 2.
Co-hosts Xavier Ellis and Katie Lamb welcomed the vivacious 34-year-old support worker and avid traveller to the show on Monday. Sarah, who describes herself as 'one of the boys', is looking for a man to join her on global adventures or at least keep up with her on the dancefloor.
'I am 34 but I'm very young at heart, so I still like to have a good time,' she said. 'I still like to shred up the d-floor, I want to make memories, I want to go travelling, (and) just live life to the fullest.' Her favourite dancefloor is OCEANS in Scarborough Beach.
Sarah believes her ability to gel with men comes from growing up with brothers. She has even worked at two AFL clubs back in Victoria — Richmond and St Kilda. She relocated to Western Australia after a painful end to a 10-year relationship, discovering her partner had been cheating on her with his dealer.
'Our lives were very intertwined, so I decided to run away and I ended up in WA,' Sarah said. 'West is best. I thought I'd survive a year, and I've been here seven.'
Triple M Perth is currently accepting applications from local suitors who consider themselves a worthy match for Sarah. This search for love follows the successful pairing of 24-year-old mortgage broker Adam Justice with local single Jess, also 24. After co-host Katie shortlisted three girls for Adam earlier this month, Jess was chosen by Katie to date the bachelor, a decision that pleased everyone involved. Adam and Jess enjoyed a successful first date early last week and had planned a second date over the weekend.
