The Coffin Cheaters motorcycle club is grieving the tragic loss of one of its members, Kye Ortin, who was killed in a car crash in Gidgegannup on Tuesday night.
Fatal crash in Gidgegannup
Police reported that a single-vehicle crash occurred on Toodyay Road around 8:30 pm on Tuesday, May 12. The vehicle, a sedan, left the road and struck a tree. The driver, Kye Ortin, 28, died at the scene. No other vehicles or passengers were involved.
Club pays tribute
The Coffin Cheaters released a statement expressing their sorrow. "It is with heavy hearts that we farewell our brother Kye Ortin, a staunch member of our club," the statement read. "Kye was a loyal friend and a respected figure in our community. He will be deeply missed."
Club members have been sharing memories of Ortin on social media, describing him as a dedicated and passionate member. The club plans to hold a memorial ride in his honor in the coming days.
