The Nelson Park School community came together on a memorable Thursday night to honour the achievements of its graduating Year 12 class of 2025. The school hall was filled with pride, joy, and a sense of accomplishment as students, dressed in their formal attire, celebrated the culmination of their secondary education with their loved ones.
A Night of Family and Celebration
The event was a true family affair, with multiple generations turning out to support the graduates. Liam Keating was photographed with his brother Evan and parents Vicki and Stephen, and in another heartwarming shot with his grandmother Linda and uncle Jesse. That theme of family support was echoed throughout the night, as seen with Darien Bryson sharing the moment with his dad Greg, and Nikolas Lukic posing with parents Tony and Trudy.
School co-captain Eh TāKoh Joe celebrated with his aunty Rosemerry, while Lani Bounds was joined by her mum Kristie, sister Evie, and aunty Tenielle. The images captured not just individual success, but the collective effort of families and the wider school community.
Recognising Support and Friendship
The graduation was also a time to acknowledge the mentors and friendships forged during the school years. Corey Right was pictured with retired education support worker Bernard Gravett and school careers officer John Demopoulos, highlighting the important role of school staff. The bond between classmates was evident as Xavier Quick and Travis Couch shared a celebratory moment together, their smiles reflecting the shared journey now coming to a close.
From Ryan Singh with his grandparents Geoff and Ruby, sister Mya, and parents Sharon and Ajeet, to Ruby Dillon with parents Simon and Anna and brother Jack, the gallery of photos tells a universal story of milestone, support, and bright futures ahead.
Looking to the Future
The graduation ceremony on Thursday, December 4, 2025, formally marked the transition for these students from secondary school to the next chapter of their lives. For students like Xavier Poole-Deegan, who celebrated with both his grandfather Peter and dad Chris in one photo, and with friend John, mum Sharon, and uncle Rex in another, the night was a fitting tribute to their hard work.
As the celebrations concluded, the sense of community at Nelson Park School was stronger than ever. The class of 2025, including graduates like Rebekah Gallacher, Isaac Maguire-Joud, Djinnta Pepper, and Joel Mackenzie, left the event with cherished memories and the well-wishes of their teachers and families, ready to embark on their diverse paths beyond the school gates.
