The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo Kicks Off the Year

This February, Brisbane welcomes The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo for its first-ever visit to the city, marking its most ambitious international stadium production to date. The event, celebrating its 75th anniversary, will feature over 1000 performers from UK military regiments and international acts at Suncorp Stadium.

Jason Barrett, Chief Executive of The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo, emphasised the evolution of the event while maintaining its historical roots. "We'll feature cutting-edge lighting, immersive sound design, and stunning visual imagery that will elevate the performance experience," he said.

Queensland Premier David Crisafulli highlighted the economic impact, noting the Tattoo is expected to inject $39 million into the state's economy. "This esteemed event puts Queensland on the global stage, drawing visitors from all over to witness an epic display of music and military precision," Mr Crisafulli stated.

Queensland's Tourism Strategy

Tourism Minister Andrew Powell explained the state's approach to securing international-calibre events. "We're backing events that inspire people to travel, disperse into our regions, extend their stay, and spend more with local businesses," he said.

1. The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo, Brisbane

February 12-15
This spectacular live event brings Scottish bagpipes, stirring anthems, and Tattoo Dancers to Suncorp Stadium, blending Scottish tradition with cultural performances from around the world.

2. Olafur Eliasson: Presence, GOMA, Brisbane
