Perth's Biggest Outdoor Brunch Club Returns to Barrack Square This Sunday

Market enthusiasts and brunch lovers across Perth are eagerly anticipating the return of the city's largest outdoor brunch club to the picturesque steps of the Bell Tower at Barrack Square this Sunday. The much-awaited Barrack Square markets will officially launch over the long weekend on March 1, offering a vibrant community experience every Sunday from 7am until noon, continuing through to May 10.

A Feast for the Senses

Visitors can look forward to an extensive array of food and beverage options provided by local businesses, ensuring there is something to satisfy every palate. With more than 20 food stalls and 10 retailers, the markets promise a diverse culinary adventure. Must-try vendors include Wild Bakery, Caring Kitchen, Zenergi Matcha, Who Gives A Crepe, and Preston Deli, each bringing unique flavors to the riverside setting.

Wellness and Activities for All Ages

Beyond the delicious offerings, the markets will feature a variety of wellness activities to promote relaxation and health. Participants can join Yoga by Taylah Jessica Yoga, experience Sound Healing and Breathwork by Julian Silburn, or practice Qi Gong with Niki Browne-Cooper. For early risers, run clubs will commence at 7am, with groups such as Social Run Club, Early Ones Lunar Love Club, and Lesbian Run Club providing opportunities for fitness and social connection.

Families are also catered for, with children able to enjoy a yoga session through Little Mindful Movements on both Easter Sunday and Mother's Day, which falls on May 10. This inclusive approach ensures that the event appeals to all age groups, fostering a welcoming atmosphere for the entire community.

Community and Atmosphere

Perth Lord Mayor Bruce Reynolds expressed his enthusiasm for the markets' return, highlighting the success of last year's event. He emphasized the unique charm of starting the day at Barrack Square, whether it's savoring a hot coffee, embarking on a riverside run, or enjoying a leisurely brunch with friends under the sun.

"Barrack Square comes alive on Sunday mornings, creating a welcoming open-air space where our community can connect, unwind and make the most of a slow morning in our beautiful city," Mayor Reynolds said. "There's something special about starting the day here—whether it's enjoying a hot coffee, a riverside run, or a long brunch with friends in the sunshine."

Practical Information

To enhance accessibility, free parking will be available at the Terrace Road Car Park every Sunday from 6am to 6pm until May 10. The event itself is free to attend, and no tickets are required, making it an easy and affordable outing for residents and visitors alike. This initiative supports local businesses and promotes community engagement in a stunning riverside location.

As Perth embraces the return of this beloved outdoor brunch club, the Barrack Square markets are set to become a weekly highlight, offering a perfect blend of food, wellness, and social interaction in the heart of the city.
