New Hospitality Hub Opens in Henderson for Tradies and Families

A first-of-its-kind hospitality precinct has opened in Perth’s south, providing a social hub for tradies, defence personnel, and families—a feature the area has “long been missing.” Running With Thieves’ newest venue made its debut in Henderson with a huge community celebration, drawing 700 guests on opening night and approximately 1,200 visitors over the full opening weekend.

Grand Opening Celebrations

Guests were welcomed with their first pint on the house. As the sun set, crowds enjoyed live music alongside kids’ entertainment and lawn games. Located at 81 Quill Way, the venue draws inspiration from the brand’s flagship South Fremantle brewery and aims to serve the nearby Australian Marine Complex and the Henderson Defence Precinct.

Venue Features

The venue boasts a large beer garden, an upstairs balcony offering sunset and ocean views, fire pits, a drive-through coffee and breakfast service, and a drive-through bottle shop. A children’s playground is set to open in June, adding to the family-friendly atmosphere.

Community Impact

Venue manager Marcus McQueen expressed excitement about opening in Henderson. “You can expect a welcoming, friendly vibe from day one. Henderson is a watershed moment for the region—the next 20 years are looking very bright,” he said. Robert Engelhard, director of Scope Property Group, added, “This is a key step in activating the Henderson Business Hub. It introduces the kind of hospitality and social infrastructure the precinct has long been missing.”

The opening was a community affair, with locals and visitors alike enjoying the new space. The venue is expected to become a central gathering point for the growing Henderson area.
