Emerald Cruises & Tours has unveiled its 2026-2027 river cruising season for South-East Asia and Japan, introducing a fresh collection of voyages that seamlessly blend ship and shore experiences. The luxury cruise line has just released detailed itineraries and pricing for up to 17 curated journeys, ranging from compact 11-day trips to expansive 26-day adventures.
New Itineraries and Immersive Land Tours
The new program features deep exploration across Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, and Japan. A standout new offering is the 11-day Enchanting Mekong and Siem Reap cruise and tour. An enhanced version, the 26-day Wonders of Japan, Vietnam and Cambodia itinerary, provides a grand tour of the region. For those seeking a comprehensive Indochina experience, the classic 24-day Grand Tour of Indochina travels from Hanoi in Vietnam to Bangkok in Thailand, incorporating time in Cambodia and Laos via both land and river.
All Mekong river cruising is aboard the custom-designed Emerald Harmony, which carries a maximum of 84 guests and boasts a high crew-to-guest ratio. The ship features spacious suites, Asian-inspired cuisine with regional flavours, and a well-appointed pool deck for relaxation.
Launch Offers and Special Deals
To launch the new season, Emerald is rolling out several attractive offers for Australian travellers. Super Earlybird savings of up to $1500 per person are available for guests who book and pay in full ten months before departure on 13-day cruise tours. Solo travellers can also benefit, with no single supplement for those booking an Emerald balcony suite (A category) on selected cruises under the same early payment condition.
A unique "green season" offer is also available for voyages from July to September in 2026 and 2027. On selected 10-day cruises during this period, travellers will pay for only eight days, receiving two days complimentary.
What's Included and Cultural Highlights
Emerald Cruises' pricing is comprehensive, covering all meals and beverages at lunch and dinner on board the Emerald Harmony, plus a wide selection of excursions and cultural activities. These immersive experiences are a cornerstone of the journeys.

On the Mekong itself, journey highlights encompass folk singing in My An Hung, a vibrant Lion Dance performance on board, local temple visits, and a night tour of Phnom Penh.
