Claremont Quarter's The Laneway Transforms into a Foodie Paradise
Claremont Quarter in Perth has undergone a significant revitalisation, culminating in the launch of a new hospitality precinct known as The Laneway. This development aims to elevate the western suburbs shopping hub into a premier foodie destination alongside its retail offerings.
A Year-Long Revitalisation Project
The transformation of The Laneway began early last year, with work now completed to create a fit-for-purpose community hub. The precinct features a diverse range of restaurants, including Izakaya Gin, Bellissimo, Grill’d, Chilli Jam, and Yo-Chi, offering a mix of culinary experiences for locals and visitors alike.
In a design-led approach, The Laneway now boasts enhanced alfresco areas and increased greenery, providing a more inviting atmosphere. Additionally, the space has been streamlined to improve connectivity with the rest of Claremont Quarter, fostering a seamless experience for shoppers and diners.
Broadening Claremont Quarter's Offerings
According to Claremont Quarter general manager Doug Addis, The Laneway is part of a strategic effort to expand the centre's appeal beyond retail. "The revitalisation of The Laneway strengthens our commitment to fostering a thriving retail and hospitality environment well into the future," Mr Addis stated.
He emphasised that the new precinct supports both operators and the broader community, adding vibrancy and connection to the retail space, which has been a staple in the western suburbs since 2019. "The Laneway enhances the Centre through improved connectivity, considered design, and fresh greenery, creating a setting that feels relaxed and contemporary," he added.
Exclusive Deals and Community Focus
To celebrate the launch, participating restaurants in The Laneway are offering exclusive deals every Friday to Sunday throughout February and March. These promotions include:
- Free spritzes and desserts
- Two-for-one pizzas
- Kids-eat-free menus
Mr Addis highlighted the collaborative effort with hospitality partners, noting, "Working closely with our hospitality partners, we’ve brought together a mix that balances local favourites with fresh energy. The result is a precinct that offers variety and quality in equal measure."
This initiative not only enhances Claremont Quarter's appeal but also positions The Laneway as a key destination for food enthusiasts in Perth, contributing to the area's ongoing growth and community engagement.
