Canberra police seek man, woman over Gungahlin thefts

ACT Policing has launched a public appeal to identify a man and a woman connected to a series of alleged thefts at a retail store in Gungahlin, with the total value of stolen goods exceeding $2000.

Details of the alleged theft spree

The incidents are reported to have occurred on three separate occasions between December 2025 and January 2026. According to police, the pair entered the same Gungahlin store each time and allegedly removed a number of items without payment.

Descriptions of the persons of interest

Investigators have released detailed descriptions of the two individuals in the hope that members of the public can assist.

The woman is described as Caucasian in appearance with dark brown hair. During one of the alleged incidents, she was reportedly wearing a distinctive black tank top with the phrase "When it's on it's on" printed on the front. She also had on long black pants and was carrying a large black handbag.

The man is also described as Caucasian in appearance. His clothing at the time included a black tank top, dark-coloured shorts, white joggers, and a wide-brimmed hat.

How the public can assist police

Police are urging anyone who recognises the individuals or has any information about the thefts to come forward immediately. Information can be provided anonymously.
