Detectives from the Port Stephens-Hunter Police District have taken the unusual step of releasing closed-circuit television footage in a public appeal to identify three people suspected of a brazen break-in at a popular golf resort.
The Salamander Bay Incident
The aggravated break and enter occurred at the Horizons Golf Resort in Salamander Bay on Friday, October 24. According to police, the trio, captured clearly on security cameras, forced their way into the property before making off with a quantity of cash and fleeing into nearby bushland.
The investigation, now operating under Strike Force Sanders, was launched after Port Stephens-Hunter police were notified of the incident. The newly released footage shows three individuals, their identities concealed by masks and hoods, moving through the resort premises around the time of the offence.
Appeal to the Public
In a bid to advance the investigation, authorities have published descriptions of the clothing and footwear worn by the suspects, hoping someone in the community will recognise them.
The first person is described as male, seen wearing all-black clothing, a medical face mask, a beige or brown hat, white gloves, and distinctive white Nike Air Max 270 shoes.
The second suspect is also believed to be male and was last seen dressed entirely in black, wearing black slides and a green-coloured hat.
The third individual was similarly clad in all-black attire and black slides featuring white stripes.
