Dalaroo Metals has dramatically accelerated its exploration plans, announcing a high-intensity 2026 campaign at its flagship Blue Lagoon critical minerals project in Greenland. This decisive move follows exceptionally strong results from the company's maiden reconnaissance fieldwork conducted last year.

The initial fieldwork program delivered outstanding outcomes, with 113 surface samples collected along a coherent 2.7-kilometre trend. Remarkably, every sample returned anomalous values for a suite of rare earths, zirconium, and niobium - achieving a 100 per cent hit rate that junior explorers typically only dream of.

Peak assays reached up to 0.81 per cent total rare earth oxides (TREO), with heavy rare earth oxides (HREO) topping 600 parts per million in multiple locations. The rare earth assemblage is dominated by valuable elements dysprosium and terbium, which are critical for manufacturing permanent magnets used in electric vehicle motors, wind turbine generators, and other renewable technologies.

Magnet rare earth oxides consistently comprised 25-29 per cent of TREO, featuring a premium assemblage rich in neodymium, praseodymium, dysprosium, and terbium. Hafnium also showed strong results with peaks up to 99ppm hafnium oxide, highlighting its strategic importance for next-generation semiconductors due to superior dielectric and thermal properties.

Zirconium demonstrated significant presence with earlier surface peaks around 4.42 per cent zirconium oxide, further complementing the valuable element suite. Crucially, uranium and thorium analyses remained low, well below Greenland's mandated 100ppm threshold, smoothing the regulatory pathway for potential future development.

Intriguingly, finer sample size fractions indicate a natural upgrading process, suggesting potential for low-cost physical beneficiation - an attractive prospect for any developer. These exceptional findings have significantly boosted investor confidence, with the company's stock surging as much as 156 per cent to 10.5 cents.

Comprehensive 2026 Exploration Program

Building on this momentum, Dalaroo's 2026 exploration season - scheduled for an early start with about two weeks of fieldwork - represents a comprehensive, multi-pronged approach. The program will deploy ground-penetrating radar surveys to map sediment thickness, stratigraphy, and palaeochannel architecture across shoreline and lagoonal zones, probing to depths up to approximately 20 metres.

Additional work will test lagoon depths using side-scan sonar or similar technology to gain insights into basin geometry, geomorphology, and depositional characteristics. The company also plans composite auger drilling across priority targets to assess vertical continuity of mineralisation and grade distribution, followed by detailed mineralogical and petrological sampling to investigate ore and gangue mineral relationships.

Dalaroo intends to initiate early metallurgical testwork discussions with a Perth consultancy to explore mineral recovery pathways, demonstrating a systematic approach to project advancement.

Company Evolution and Strategic Direction

This Greenland thrust marks Dalaroo's evolution from a Western Australia-focused base metals explorer to a diversified critical minerals and gold story. Listed in 2021 after raising $5 million, the company initially focused on its Namban nickel-copper-platinum group elements project near Moora in WA's West Yilgarn and the Lyons River zinc-lead-copper-gold project in the Gascoyne region.

After strategic pivots prompted by market conditions, Dalaroo acquired 100 per cent of Blue Lagoon in early January 2026 following an initial option agreement. The company also maintains gold exploration ambitions in Côte d'Ivoire with four Birimian greenstone permits totalling approximately 1368 square kilometres.
