Fuel Shortage Crisis Hits Western Australia Hard Over Easter Weekend
A severe fuel shortage is creating major disruptions across Western Australia, with numerous service stations reporting dry pumps as the Easter long weekend draws to a close. Extent of the Fuel Supply Crisis
According to the latest data from FuelWatch WA, there are currently 24 service stations that have completely run out of petrol. This includes locations that lack either standard unleaded or premium unleaded fuel options. Additionally, 15 service stations are experiencing diesel shortages, meaning they have no supply of either regular diesel or branded diesel products.
The bulk-buying retail giant Costco continues to face significant supply issues at both its Casuarina and Perth Airport locations. Both sites remain without unleaded petrol and branded diesel, days after initially announcing their fuel shortages last Friday.

While the overall number of affected service stations has decreased slightly compared to earlier in the week, several regional locations continue to struggle with persistent fuel shortages. Establishments such as the Balingup Liquor & General Store and Hills Emporio have been on the list of outlets without both petrol and diesel for most of this week.
