A fridge has come crashing onto a suburban street in Perth's southern suburbs after falling from the back of a stolen delivery truck packed with $50,000 worth of whitegoods and electronics.

Incident details

The 2018 Isuzu-branded vehicle was taken from outside a home on Barbette Rd in Willetton about 8.30am on Tuesday. At the time, the driver was making a delivery, according to WA Police. The truck was stolen with the rear tail lift down, causing it to drag along the road.

CCTV from a nearby home captured the moment a fridge was torn apart after falling from the tail lift as the truck turned onto Scarp Tce.

Stolen goods valued at $50,000

When the truck was stolen, it was carrying several whitegoods and electronic items valued at approximately $50,000. Police are actively searching for the stolen truck, which has the registration 1ITQ938.

Authorities urge anyone who spots the vehicle to contact police on 131 444. Witnesses or anyone with information should contact Crime Stoppers.
