Historical Roots
The "Emery" in Emery Partners is Norman Leslie Emery, who started as an articled clerk in the late 1940s. A local boy, Norm developed expertise in coal mining, industrial law, and personal injury law. "I remember when I first started with the firm in 1996, Norm still had a 'twinkle in his eye' when discussing issues of justice, equality, equity, reasonableness and fairness," Ms Vujat recalled. "Those hard-core values still drive the firm today and are the reason why I remain working here - 30 years later."
