A man is fighting for his life after a serious workplace incident on Montague Street this afternoon. Emergency services rushed to the scene following reports that the worker's hand had become trapped in machinery.

Emergency response

Paramedics received the call at approximately 3:40pm, with five ambulance crews dispatched to the location. The man was treated at the scene for severe injuries before being prepared for transport to hospital.

A Toll Rescue Helicopter was also deployed to North Dalton Park in Fairy Meadow to assist with the medical evacuation. It remains unclear which hospital the man will be taken to for further treatment.
