A teenage woman is fighting for her life in hospital after a violent alleged sexual assault at a park in Sydney's southwest on Tuesday afternoon.

Emergency Response at Leacocks Lane

Emergency services were called to Leacocks Lane in Casula around 1:45pm on Tuesday after the 18-year-old victim was discovered unconscious. Paramedics provided urgent treatment at the scene before rushing her to Liverpool Hospital, where she remains in a critical condition.

Arrest and Charges Laid

Police allege the young woman was attacked by a man who then fled the park. Following their investigation, officers arrested a 27-year-old man on nearby Canberra Avenue. The accused has been charged with aggravated sexual assault and was refused bail overnight.

He is scheduled to appear at Liverpool Local Court on Wednesday to face the serious charge.
