WA Ballet's Gothic Masterpiece Dracula Returns to His Majesty's Theatre
In a thrilling revival, the West Australian Ballet is bringing back its multi-award-winning production of Dracula to His Majesty's Theatre from May 15 to 30. Choreographed by renowned Polish artist Krzysztof Pastor, this Gothic epic has been hailed as a cornerstone of the company's artistic legacy as it approaches its 75th anniversary next year.
Artistic director Leanne Stojmenov describes Dracula as "a work that has played a vital role in shaping our artistic journey and success." A fresh generation of dancers will take on iconic roles from Bram Stoker's novel, including Dracula in both youthful and aged forms, alongside characters like Mina and Jonathan Harker. The production will be accompanied by the West Australian Symphony Orchestra, performing Wojciech Kilar's sweeping score. Tickets and details are available at waballet.com.au.
