World Champion Surfer Jack Robinson Lists Gnarabup Home Overlooking Iconic Surf Breaks
World champion surfer Jack Robinson has put his Gnarabup home on the market, a property that overlooks the very waves where he honed his legendary skills from childhood. The sale marks a significant moment for the Olympic athlete, whose deep connection to the Margaret River region is well-documented.
A Surfing Prodigy's Journey from the Waves to Homeownership
Robinson's love affair with the ocean began early, with him bodyboarding in the Gnarabup area at just three years old. By age six, his family relocated from Perth to Margaret River to be closer to the famous surf breaks, including the Main Break, The Box, and The Bombie. He was homeschooled from around age 12 to maximise his time in the water, a dedication that paid off as he rose to become the world's top junior surfer at 14.
Now 28, Robinson has achieved numerous accolades, such as victories at Teahupo'o, Bells Beach Pro, and the Margaret River Pro, along with a silver medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics. His success enabled him to purchase this home in 2017 for $1.737 million when he was only 19, showcasing his early financial achievements in the sport.
Luxury Living with Uninterrupted Ocean Views
The two-storey, six-bedroom, four-bathroom home is situated 10km from Margaret River on a spacious 2097sqm block. It features floor-to-ceiling glass on the second level, offering breathtaking, uninterrupted views of the ocean. Sliding doors open to a wraparound balcony and deck, surrounded by lush foliage, perfect for enjoying the coastal scenery.
Additional amenities include a fully self-contained two-bedroom guest retreat and a separate wellness loft that can serve as a yoga studio, gym, surf recovery space, sauna room, or ice bath retreat, ideal for embracing the Margaret River lifestyle.
Family Life and Future Plans
Robinson shares the home with his model wife, Brazilian-born Julia Muniz, whom he married several years ago. The couple welcomed their son, Zen, in late 2023, adding a new chapter to their lives. The property is being sold through agent Sarah Twine, marking a potential new beginning for the family as they move forward from this iconic residence.
