Among those charged are Cranbourne horse trainer Grant Dalziel, his son Peter Dalziel, and former jockey Brian Park. Police allege that the group used several vessels, including a boat, to travel into Bass Strait in attempts to receive illicit drugs from an international mothership offshore. The investigation began after a commercial trawler sank in May, raising suspicions as the crew had set out in bad weather without proper commercial fishing equipment.
