DJ Tigerlily & Nat Sax to Fire Up Perth Scorchers Boxing Day Bash
DJ Tigerlily to perform at Perth Scorchers Boxing Day Bash

One of Australia's most electrifying DJs is set to bring her high-energy beats to the iconic Boxing Day cricket fixture in Perth. DJ Tigerlily, alongside saxophonist Nat Sax, has been confirmed as the headline pre-match entertainment for the Perth Scorchers' massive Big Bash League clash against the Hobart Hurricanes.

A Mega Mashup for The Furnace

The performance, scheduled for December 26, 2025, aims to get the anticipated crowd of 40,000 at Optus Stadium on their feet before the first ball is bowled. Tigerlily, whose real name is Dara Hayes, promises a dynamic set featuring her newly released track King, created with Luca Testa, blended into what she describes as a "mega mash of everything that you know and love with a bit of an electro pop twist."

"I'm very excited to be coming over to Perth for the Boxing Day Bash," Tigerlily told PerthNow. "I feel like the atmosphere is going to be high. Everyone probably has a full belly from Christmas and is looking forward to letting loose."

From Global Festivals to the Sporting Arena

The 33-year-old artist is no stranger to massive crowds, having graced stages at premier international festivals like Tomorrowland. She believes the sporting gig will deliver a similarly epic experience. "Often these big sporting gigs are some of those really wow, epic moments," she said, adding that she expects the crowd's energy at Optus Stadium to be exceptional.

Perth Scorchers General Manager Jess Kelly echoed that sentiment, stating that Tigerlily is set to take the event to a new level. "She has played some of the world's biggest stages, and having her bring that energy to Perth is incredibly exciting," Kelly said. "Our fans turn The Furnace into the best atmosphere in the league, and this performance will amplify that."

Balancing Motherhood and a Thriving Career

Now a mother to a two-year-old and a six-month-old, Tigerlily's touring schedule has adjusted, but her passion for performing remains undimmed. "It sparks a bit of a fire inside of me," she said of her 15-year DJ career, which began as a hobby for the classically trained musician.

In a humorous personal note, the DJ admitted that while she isn't a die-hard cricket fan, her husband certainly is. "I like to say that when the Big Bash starts, I become a single woman," she joked.

Following her Perth appearance, Tigerlily has a run of gigs scheduled in NSW and Queensland this month, with performances in New Zealand and Europe planned for 2025.
