West Coast fan tattoos Harley Reid's signature on leg

A West Coast Eagles super fan has taken his love for star player Harley Reid to an extraordinary level, permanently inking the young athlete's signature on his body. The fan, identified as Cooper, has captured widespread attention on social media after he chose Reid's autograph as the subject of his first tattoo.

In a post shared by Perth tattoo studio Capone Ink, Cooper is seen asking Reid to sign his leg during an open training session before heading to the studio to make it a permanent fixture. "Core memory = getting @westcoasteagles @harleyreid_6's signature as your very first tattoo," the studio wrote on social media. "Talk about a true fan! We're stoked to be a part of it."

Reid's teammates, including Willem Duursma, also liked the post, showing their support for the fan's dedication.

Reid's rise to stardom

Harley Reid has quickly become one of the most popular footballers in the AFL and one of the most recognisable athletes in Western Australia since joining the Eagles as the first pick in the 2023 draft. His rapid rise has endeared him to fans, with Cooper's tattoo being the ultimate display of fandom.

Capone Ink is a popular choice among AFL players. Reid, along with teammate Tyler Brockman and West Coast premiership player Liam Ryan, have all received tattoos there. Several Melbourne players, including Max Gawn and now-Fremantle star Luke Jackson, also got inked at the studio after their 2021 premiership victory against the Western Bulldogs at Optus Stadium.

This unique tribute highlights the deep connection between athletes and their supporters, with Cooper's permanent mark serving as a lasting memory of his admiration for Harley Reid.
