NSW Women Clinch Origin Series with 14-10 Win

The New South Wales Blues have clinched the women's State of Origin series with a hard-fought 14-10 victory over Queensland in the second match of the best-of-three series at Brisbane's Suncorp Stadium on Thursday night.

Blues Retain the Shield

Jess Sergis and Jesse Southwell were instrumental in the win, helping NSW retain the Origin shield. The Blues now have the opportunity to become the first team to achieve a 3-0 series sweep since the women's Origin series expanded to three games in 2024.

Game-Winning Defensive Play

Back-up Blues winger Teagan Berry produced the decisive defensive play in the final 30 seconds, tackling Queensland's Jasmine Peters into touch as she attempted to level the scores on the right wing. The tackle preserved NSW's four-point lead and sealed the series victory.
