Lachie Neale Moves Out of Brisbane Family Home After Split from Wife Jules
Lachie Neale moves out after split from wife Jules

Brisbane Lions premiership player Lachie Neale has officially moved out of the marital home he once shared with his wife, Jules Neale, following their very public separation. The two-time AFL premiership winner was photographed looking downcast as he directed removalists at his new residence on Monday, January 5, 2026.

A Solemn Move and a Public Apology

Neale, who recently stepped down as captain of the Brisbane Lions, was seen wearing a simple white T-shirt, black sports shorts, and sandals while personally carrying electrical equipment into the new property. The move comes after he confirmed the end of his seven-year marriage in a statement, expressing deep regret for his actions.

"While I won’t go into specifics, I can say that I have let my family down and I apologise for my actions that have let down those that are closest to me," Neale said. "For that I am deeply sorry."

The Family Home and a Cross-Country Move

It is believed Jules Neale, who is originally from Western Australia, has moved back to Perth with the couple's two young children: four-year-old Piper and one-year-old Freddie. She was spotted moving furniture out of the family's former home in Seven Hills, in Brisbane's eastern suburbs.

The couple had purchased the five-bedroom house for $2.43 million in July 2022. Featuring an open living layout, a spacious backyard, and a pool, Lachie had previously described it as a "little sanctuary" and a potential "forever home" in an interview. The future of the property remains unclear following the split.

Drama Unfolds on Social Media

The confirmed separation followed a fiery statement Jules posted on her Instagram on December 20, 2025, where she dispelled rumours of reconciliation. "I want to make it very clear that I am not 'working through' anything," she wrote. "I have been betrayed in the most unimaginable way. All I can do now is try to heal and do what’s best for my children."

The woman linked to the separation, Tess Crosley, has not removed photos of herself with the Neales from her social media, despite Jules unfollowing her. Just before the news broke, Jules left a pointed comment on a post by Ms Crosley featuring a photo from after the 2025 AFL Grand Final, which showed both couples together, stating: "Take these (photos) down..."

Ms Crosley has since posted a series of photos on Boxing Day celebrating Christmas with her son, with the comments section disabled. Her husband, Ben Crosley, was notably absent from those images.
