West Coast Eagles veteran Dana Hooker has announced her retirement from AFLW, ending a distinguished career that culminated in the club's historic first finals appearance.

The 32-year-old midfielder revealed her decision to step away from professional football, expressing complete satisfaction with her timing after being part of the Eagles' breakthrough finals campaign. Hooker played 46 games across six seasons with West Coast, establishing herself as one of the team's most consistent and respected players.
In an emotional statement, Hooker reflected on her journey and the perfect note on which to conclude her career. "Being part of West Coast's first final was incredibly special," she said. "It feels like the right time to step away, knowing I've given everything to the game and the club."
