Brooke Warne, the daughter of Australian cricket icon Shane Warne, has announced her engagement to long-time partner Alex Heath. The couple, currently in the United States, shared a series of photos on social media on Saturday morning (Australian time) with the caption “it was always us.” In the images, a beaming Brooke displays a sparkling diamond ring, and one photo captures the couple embracing under a rainbow forming a perfect arc above them—a clear sign from Shane, according to Brooke’s mother Simone Callahan.

Simone Callahan expressed her joy in a comment, saying, “Truly a beautiful match made in Heaven, beyond Happy for you both, endless LOVE, and the rainbow ... Dad’s sign for you Brookie & Alex, he will be over the moon celebrating, enjoy this special moment, can’t wait to squish you.” Jackson Warne, Brooke’s brother, also celebrated the news, posting, “Wowwww I have a brother!! ❤️❤️.”
A Seven-Year Journey
Brooke and Alex have been together for seven years. The proposal saw Alex Heath down on one knee, presenting a pearl-shaped diamond ring. Brooke chose Ed Sheeran’s song “Perfect” for her Instagram story, a nod to her late father, as Sheeran and Shane Warne were close friends. Sheeran paid tribute to Warne during his 2023 concert at the MCG, dedicating “The A Team” to “Shane and his kids.”
