Veteran Western Victoria MP Bev McArthur has publicly endorsed Jess Wilson as the new leader of the Victorian Liberal Party, following John Pesutto's resignation from the role.
In a significant show of support from within the party's regional ranks, Mrs McArthur declared that Ms Wilson has "captured the imagination" of members and possesses the necessary vision to rebuild and lead the Coalition to the next state election.
