ACT Policing has launched a major investigation after a man was found dead inside a Braddon apartment overnight, with authorities treating the death as suspicious.
Emergency services called to Lowanna Street
ACT Ambulance paramedics were called to a unit on Lowanna Street in Braddon late on Saturday night, following reports of an injured man at the location. The call came in shortly before 11.35pm on December 21, 2025.
Upon arrival, paramedics discovered the man deceased inside the residence. Police were immediately notified and attended the scene.
Woman assisting police with inquiries
An ACT Policing spokesman confirmed that a 37-year-old woman was present at the Lowanna Street apartment when officers arrived. The woman is currently assisting detectives with their inquiries as part of the ongoing investigation.
Investigators have formally declared the death suspicious, prompting a significant police response. Forensic teams and senior officers remained at the scene throughout Sunday morning, with police tape cordoning off entrances to the apartment building.
Identity yet to be confirmed
Police have not yet formally identified the deceased man. Officers are working to determine his identity and notify his next of kin.
The police spokesman urged anyone with information about the incident to come forward. "Anyone who has any information about this incident is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website. Please quote reference number P2408490," the spokesman said.
The investigation continues, with several police units still present at the Braddon location.
