Man dies after being found injured outside Sydney unit complex

A man has died after being discovered with critical injuries outside a unit complex in Sydney's north west, with authorities treating the incident as suspicious.

Emergency response at Castle Hill

Emergency services were summoned to Crane Road in Castle Hill at approximately 2:40am on Sunday following reports of a man heard shouting from a balcony.

NSW Ambulance paramedics arrived at the scene and located a 44-year-old man suffering from serious injuries in a garden area outside the complex.

Death at the scene

Despite the paramedics' efforts to revive the man, he tragically succumbed to his injuries and was declared deceased at the location.

Detectives from The Hills Police Area Command and the North West Metropolitan Region have initiated an investigation under Strike Force Sunbach.

A crime scene has been established as police continue to probe the circumstances surrounding the man's death. A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
