A 62-year-old man is set to face court after being charged over an alleged incident involving a teenage boy at a public toilet block on Sydney's Northern Beaches.

Alleged Incident at Narrabeen Reserve

New South Wales Police allege the incident occurred at approximately 7pm on Sunday, December 28. According to their statement, a man unknown to the 13-year-old boy approached him inside a public toilet facility. The toilets are located within a reserve off Wakehurst Parkway in Narrabeen.

Following the alleged approach, investigators state the man left the area on foot. He was subsequently picked up and driven away from the scene by another person, according to police accounts of the event.

Arrest and Charges Laid

The investigation led to the arrest of a 62-year-old man on Beach Road in Collaroy at about 4pm on Monday, December 29. He was taken into custody without incident.

The man has been formally charged with two serious offences. The first is observing a person in a private act without consent (aggravated). The second charge is stalking or intimidating with intent to cause fear of physical harm.

Court Appearance Granted Bail

Following his arrest and charging, the accused was granted conditional bail by police. He is required to appear before the Manly Local Court on January 15 to answer to the allegations.

Police have reiterated their commitment to community safety on the Northern Beaches and encourage anyone with information about similar incidents to come forward.
