A series of matters passed through the Townsville Magistrates Court on Tuesday, January 20, with defendants facing charges ranging from traffic offences to alleged theft.
Traffic Offences and Licence Issues
Several individuals appeared before the court on driving-related charges. Jarrod Leslie White, 34, faced charges of driving without a licence and also received a fine for a registration offence. In a separate case, Kane Robert Hamilton, 22, was charged with driving while disqualified by a court order.
Shane Anthony Gesling, 40, was charged with driving without a licence. The court also dealt with a case involving Unika Wyles, 24, who was charged with driving without a licence and also faced an additional charge of failing to properly dispose of a syringe.
Property and Drug-Related Charges
The court list included several alleged property crimes. John Francis Liddy, 40, was charged with one count of entering a dwelling and committing an indictable offence. In another matter, Jye Patrick Baker, 25, faced charges of stealing and also of possessing a drug utensil.
Rikki-Lee Diamond, 34, was charged with unlawful possession of suspected stolen property. The court also heard the case of Shannon Lee Sutton, 34, who was charged with receiving tainted property.
Other Matters Before the Court
Other cases listed for the day included a charge of public nuisance against Krystal Lee Daley, 31. Lilly Rose Bell, 20, faced a charge of contravening a police directive.
The court's schedule also included two individuals whose matters were unable to be finalised. The cases for Jarrod Michael Fewquandie and John TJ Fisher were adjourned, with their matters to be heard at a later date.
