Intensified Manhunt for Accused Triple Murderer in NSW Central West

Police in New South Wales have escalated their large-scale search for fugitive Julian Ingram, releasing fresh images of a vehicle linked to the accused triple murderer. The 37-year-old is wanted in connection with the shooting deaths of three people in Lake Cargelligo last Thursday, sparking a major manhunt across the Central West region.

Details of the Tragic Incident

Ingram is alleged to have fatally shot his pregnant ex-partner, Sophie Quinn, 25, along with her friend John Harris, 32, and her aunty Nerida Quinn, 50. The violent spree occurred in two separate locations in Lake Cargelligo, with police reporting that Ingram first attacked Quinn and Harris while they were inside Quinn's black Suzuki Swift on Bokhara Street around 4:30 pm.

A short time later, authorities say he drove to Walker Street where he opened fire in a driveway, killing Nerida Quinn and seriously injuring 19-year-old Kaleb MacQueen, a friend of her son. MacQueen was airlifted to Canberra for treatment and has described suffering significant pain to his shoulder, hands, and the back of his head from the shooting.

Vehicle Identification and Police Appeal

Investigators have released new photographs showing the distinctive features of Ingram's vehicle, a dual-cab Ford Ranger ute with NSW registration DM-07-GZ. The utility vehicle may display several identifying marks according to police statements:

  • A Lachlan Shire Council magnet positioned in front of the driver's door
  • The numbers 1947 possibly visible above the magnet
  • An emergency orange light bar mounted on the roof
  • Work tools and a silver toolbox potentially in the vehicle's tray

NSW Police have urged anyone who spots Ingram or the vehicle not to approach him under any circumstances and to immediately contact emergency services. More than 100 officers are currently involved in the ongoing search operation, with police continuing to assess all reports of possible sightings as they are received.

Community Impact and Safety Concerns

The extended manhunt has left residents throughout the Central West region feeling unsettled and concerned for their safety. Local community pages have circulated warnings after two separate groups reported encountering a white ute allegedly driving aggressively near Murrin Bridge, a former Aboriginal mission community with fewer than 100 residents.

Kaleb MacQueen, who survived the shooting, expressed his ongoing fear to media, stating he believes Ingram might return. "I feel like he's going to come," MacQueen said, describing how the accused was laughing during the attack. Both MacQueen and his mother, Jessica Johnson, have pleaded with authorities to apprehend Ingram, saying they won't feel secure until he is in custody.
