Drug Offences Dominate the Docket
Several individuals faced charges related to drug possession and supply. Among them was a 28-year-old man from Manunda who was charged with possessing a dangerous drug and drug utensils. He was granted bail to appear at a later date. Another case involved a 35-year-old woman from Edge Hill, accused of supplying a dangerous drug to another person. She was remanded in custody pending further investigation.

The court also dealt with matters including fraud, theft, and public nuisance. A 26-year-old man from Cairns was charged with fraud after allegedly using a stolen credit card to make purchases. He was granted bail with a condition to surrender his passport. A 33-year-old woman from Edmonton faced theft charges for allegedly shoplifting from a local supermarket. She was fined and ordered to complete community service.
