The Vanns Return to Headline Gerringong Winter Wine Festival
The Vanns Return for Gerringong Winter Wine Festival

The Gerringong Winter Wine Festival is set to heat up the NSW South Coast this July with the announcement that indie rock favourites The Vanns will headline the event. The band, known for their energetic live shows and anthemic songs, will perform on Saturday, July 22, as part of a weekend-long celebration of wine, music, and local produce.

A Weekend of Music and Wine

The festival, now in its third year, will take place at the Gerringong Town Hall and surrounding venues from July 21 to 23. Organisers have curated a lineup that blends national touring acts with local talent, ensuring there is something for every music lover. Alongside The Vanns, the program includes performances from folk singer-songwriter Josh Pyke, electronic duo Hatchie, and a host of emerging artists from the Illawarra region.

Wine and Food Highlights

True to its name, the festival will showcase the best of the region’s cool-climate wines, with tastings from over 20 local wineries including Crooked River Wines, Coolangatta Estate, and Mountain Ridge Wines. Food lovers can indulge in gourmet offerings from local producers, with a focus on seasonal and sustainable ingredients. Cooking demonstrations and wine masterclasses will also be held throughout the weekend.

Festival director Sarah Jones said the event has grown significantly since its inception. “We’re thrilled to welcome The Vanns as our headliners this year. Their music captures the spirit of the coast, and we know they’ll put on an incredible show. The festival is about celebrating everything that makes our region special – great wine, great food, and great music.”
