A popular parenting influencer has issued an urgent public safety warning after her young daughter suffered a skull fracture in a terrifying fall from her father's shoulders.
A Freak Accident with Serious Consequences
Alexa Booth, a mother of six with a substantial social media following, shared the distressing details of the incident on her Facebook page. The accident occurred on 8 January 2026, when her daughter, Eden, was being carried by her father, Anthony Booth.
Ms Booth described a "freak accident" where Eden, after playfully knocking her father's hat off, suddenly twisted and flung herself backwards. The child fell from his shoulders, hitting her head on the ground with such force that onlookers reportedly heard the impact.
The fall resulted in a fracture to the right parietal region of Eden's skull. Remarkably, medical professionals noted the fracture was non-displaced, a detail that even surprised the attending neurosurgeon given the severity of the fall.
A Father's Haunting Guilt and a Public Plea
In her emotional post, Alexa Booth stressed that the accident "could have ended tragically", despite her husband's years of experience carrying all six of their children in this manner for nearly a decade.
"I know it seems harmless, I know you think you'd 'never drop them'... my husband has carried all six of our children like this," she wrote. "There is NO benefit worth that risk, not the smiles or the giggles, even if you've done it a million times before with no issues."
Anthony Booth expressed his profound remorse, stating the sound of his daughter's head hitting the concrete "haunts" him and that he will "never forgive" himself. He attributed her survival to "the grace of God" and vowed to never again carry a child on his shoulders without a proper carrier or harness.
A Wave of Parental Support and Shared Fears
The US-based influencer's warning resonated deeply with her audience. Hundreds of parents flooded the comments section, sharing their own fears and experiences.
One commenter revealed they constantly beg their partner not to engage in similar activities, like tossing children in the air. Others sent messages of support, hoping for Eden's full recovery and for the father's guilt to subside.
The Booths' story serves as a stark reminder of how quickly a common, seemingly benign parenting moment can turn dangerous. Their decision to share this painful experience publicly aims to prevent other families from learning the same lesson the hard way.
