A 19-year-old rider is in a serious condition after a high-speed motorbike accident at a Horsley park on Friday morning.

Emergency Response to Horsley Park Crash

The incident occurred around 11:40 am on November 28, 2025, at Dimond Brothers Reserve. According to NSW Ambulance Inspector Norm Rees, the teenager was riding through the skate park area when he hit two mounds of earth at speed.

Witnesses reported the rider 'flying through the park' before the collision. Inspector Rees confirmed the rider somersaulted twice before landing heavily on the ground.

Serious Injuries and Helicopter Rescue

The young man sustained significant injuries in the crash, including:

  • A head injury
  • Suspected rib fractures
  • A suspected pelvis fracture

Despite wearing a helmet, the protective gear sustained damage during the impact. Multiple emergency service units responded to the scene, including several NSW Ambulance vehicles and the Toll Ambulance Rescue helicopter.

A doctor on board the helicopter conducted an ultrasound on-site and determined the patient required immediate specialist care. The 19-year-old was flown to St George Hospital in Kogarah in a serious but stable condition.

Ongoing Investigation and Safety Reminders

Police attended the scene and removed the motorbike from the reserve. The circumstances leading up to the accident are part of the ongoing investigation.

This serious incident serves as a stark reminder of the potential dangers associated with off-road motorbike riding, even when protective equipment like helmets is used.
