A Tasmanian brand, Apostl, is gaining attention for its handcrafted leather jackets that are designed to last a lifetime. The jackets are made from ethically-sourced leather and are handmade by skilled artisans in Bali, Indonesia, with designs created in Hobart by founder BJ Radcliffe.
According to the brand, each piece receives significant attention to detail, ensuring durability and timeless style. The jackets range from classic biker styles to long trenches and bomber jackets, with prices starting at $429 and going up to $1,299.
Shoppers have praised the quality and fit of Apostl jackets, noting that they are a worthwhile investment compared to fast fashion alternatives. One customer mentioned that a previous fake leather jacket from Zara began to peel, while the Apostl jacket feels soft yet durable.
The brand has nearly 40,000 followers on Instagram and has been described as selling “dream” leather jackets. Founder Bonnie Radcliffe states that Apostl was created to combine style, functionality, and durability, with a commitment to sustainable and beautiful products.
