Aussie Influencer's Severe Allergic Reaction to Lip Filler Dissolving Goes Viral
Influencer's severe reaction after lip filler dissolved

An Australian social media influencer faced a terrifying medical emergency after a routine cosmetic appointment went dangerously wrong.

From Beauty Treatment to Ambulance Ride

Gabby Goessling, a popular content creator, planned to have her lip filler dissolved, expecting some minor swelling. She even joked with her followers that she would still go to the pub afterwards, simply wearing a mask to cover the temporary puffiness. However, the situation escalated rapidly and unexpectedly.

Just five minutes after the procedure, her lips began to swell significantly. The reaction did not stop there. The swelling continued to worsen, spreading to other parts of her face and eventually causing her eyes to close up. Instead of heading to the pub, Goessling was rushed to hospital in an ambulance for urgent medical treatment.

A Viral Warning on Social Media

Goessling documented the entire frightening ordeal in a series of video updates posted to TikTok over the weekend. The raw footage of her severe allergic reaction captivated millions, with the video amassing more than 18 million views and 1.3 million likes.

In the comments section, the influencer was quick to reassure her concerned fans and clarify that the clinic was not at fault. "Btw everyone I'm totally fine and it's not the clinic's fault they were amazing and looked after me so well," she wrote. She emphasised the randomness of the event, noting, "I've never been allergic to anything and have had this treatment before so it was just super random!!"

Recovery and a History of Mishaps

Fortunately, the intense facial swelling has since subsided, and Goessling is back to looking like her normal self—now without any lip filler. This incident marks the second time in a short period that the influencer has needed emergency medical care.

Just recently, she required five stitches after accidentally stabbing a knife through her hand while trying to remove an avocado seed. Her latest viral experience serves as a stark reminder of the unpredictable risks that can accompany even common cosmetic procedures, despite previous uneventful treatments.
