Tragedy Strikes Regional Victoria Intersection

A devastating truck collision has claimed three lives, including two children, in regional Victoria this morning. The horrific accident occurred at approximately 9.30am on Tuesday at the intersection of Eurambeen-Streatham and Mount William roads in Stoneleigh, located west of Ballarat.

Emergency services rushed to the scene after a truck collided with a passenger car at the rural intersection. Police preliminary reports indicate the car appears to have rolled and been crushed during the impact. Tragically, an adult and two children died at the scene, unable to be saved by paramedics.

Another adult occupant of the car suffered life-threatening injuries and remained trapped inside the vehicle for some time. Rescue crews worked extensively to free the critically injured person, who will be airlifted to hospital for emergency treatment.
