A tragic crash on Christmas Eve has claimed the life of a teenage boy and left two others fighting for their lives in hospital on the New South Wales Mid North Coast.
Crash Details and Emergency Response
The single-vehicle accident occurred on Diamond Head Road at Coralville, approximately 35 kilometres north of Taree. Emergency services were called to the scene shortly after 2:45pm on Wednesday, December 24, after reports a car had collided with a tree.
Despite the efforts of those at the scene, one passenger, a teenage male, died before paramedics could arrive. The driver and another male passenger, both also teenagers, were treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics at the location.
Given the seriousness of their injuries, the two survivors were airlifted to John Hunter Hospital in Newcastle. Both were reported to be in a critical but stable condition following the crash.
