Hunter Valley police and emergency service crews have entered a second day of searching Yengo National Park after a mysterious triple zero call reported a bogged vehicle. The extensive operation, which resumed on Tuesday morning, has so far failed to locate any trace of the vehicle or establish contact with the original caller.

The search was initiated after emergency services received the triple zero call at 11pm on Sunday night, reporting a vehicle bogged within the national park. Hunter Valley and Hawkesbury police officers have been leading the operation, supported by multiple agencies including the National Parks and Wildlife Service, NSW State Emergency Service, and the NSW Rural Fire Service.
These combined forces conducted thorough searches throughout Monday, scouring the rugged bushland terrain that characterises Yengo National Park. Despite their comprehensive efforts, searchers have been unable to find any evidence of the reported vehicle or make contact with the person who placed the original emergency call.
