Missing man last seen near ACT-NSW border

Police in the Monaro region have launched a public appeal for information to locate a 30-year-old man who has been reported missing from a rural area near the Australian Capital Territory border.

Urgent Search Underway

Robert "Robbie" Dover was last seen in the locality of Wamboin, approximately 20 kilometres north of Queanbeyan, at around 9:30 am on Wednesday, January 14, 2026. Authorities from the Monaro Police District are leading the search and are growing increasingly concerned for his welfare.

A spokesperson for New South Wales Police confirmed that the missing man is familiar with the Wamboin area and may have been frequenting it recently. When he was last sighted, Dover was described as wearing a black shirt and blue shorts.

Community Asked to Assist

Investigators are urging anyone who may have seen Robbie Dover since Wednesday morning, or who has any information regarding his current whereabouts, to come forward immediately. The public can play a crucial role in helping police locate him safely.

"Anyone with information is urged to contact the Monaro Police District or Crime Stoppers," the police spokesperson stated. This appeal extends to residents in the surrounding regions of the ACT and southern NSW, given the proximity of Wamboin to the territory border.
