Canberra woman run over by ute in Dickson car park

A woman has been hospitalised with serious injuries following a disturbing incident in a north Canberra club car park, where she was allegedly run over by a utility vehicle after an argument with the driver.

Altercation Leads to Serious Injuries

The incident occurred at approximately 3:10 pm on Monday, December 22, 2025, in the car park of the Dickson Tradies club. According to ACT Policing, the woman was standing at the driver's door of a white Ford Ranger utility vehicle, with ACT registration YSI97E. A man known to the woman was seated in the driver's seat.

Police reports indicate a verbal altercation took place between the pair. During this confrontation, the woman fell to the ground. It is alleged the Ford Ranger then drove out of the car park, running over the woman as it departed.

Vehicle Flees the Scene at Speed

The vehicle allegedly left the area at high speed. In its haste, the ute mounted a kerb and a footpath on Poppyfield Street before turning north onto Badham Street. The injured woman was subsequently transported to hospital for treatment of her serious injuries.

Authorities are also calling for any witnesses to the incident, or anyone with dashcam footage from the Dickson Tradies car park or the surrounding streets around the time of the event, to come forward.
