Firefighters from across the Hunter region worked through the night to contain a major blaze that tore through a vacant house in Raymond Terrace.
Emergency Response to Troman Parade Fire
Emergency services were called to a property on Troman Parade in Raymond Terrace just before 9pm on Friday night. Upon arrival, crews from both Maitland and Newcastle found the house fully engulfed in flames.
Fire & Rescue NSW duty commander James Downey confirmed that crews quickly located the resident and established that no one was inside the property when the fire broke out. This allowed firefighters to focus solely on containing the intense blaze.

Five firefighting crews battled the inferno for more than three hours before finally bringing it under control. According to police, the fire was not fully extinguished until approximately 1am on Saturday morning.
