Australia's first Dave & Buster's venue is officially scheduled to open its doors in Clarkson this April, marking a significant milestone more than a year after the project secured planning approval. This American-style sports bar and entertainment complex promises to bring a unique blend of dining, gaming, and live sports viewing to the northern suburbs of Perth.

The expansive 2000-square-metre venue will be situated east of the Ocean Keys Shopping Centre, occupying the site of the former Good Guys warehouse. This strategic location in Clarkson provides ample space for the large-scale development, allowing for an immersive entertainment experience.
Entertainment and Dining Features
The venue will boast a custom-built 40-foot sports screen, complemented by more than 30 ultra-high-definition screens broadcasting live sports events. A mega arcade will feature a dedicated Win Room, offering patrons the chance to redeem prizes. The full bar will serve signature cocktails, frosty pints, mocktails, and happy hour specials, while the American-inspired food menu includes classics like burgers, wings, sliders, and share plates, all reimagined with Australian ingredients and flavours to suit local tastes.
Operator and Expectations
NightOwl Entertainment, a Western Australia-based hospitality and entertainment group, will operate the venue. The company is known for popular spots such as The Lookout in Scarborough, social darts venue Flight Club, and Print Hall. CEO David Heaton expressed enthusiasm, stating that he expects the venue to become an entertainment landmark for the northern suburbs.
This venue is truly next level, and we can't wait to open the doors and show Perth what we've been working on, Mr Heaton said. Clarkson gives us the space to do this properly, from the scale of the screens to the energy of the arcade and the quality of the food.
Capacity and Operating Hours
The venue will have a maximum capacity of 800 patrons. It is permitted to operate from 11am to midnight on Sundays through Thursdays, and from 11am to 1am on Fridays and Saturdays, offering extended hours for weekend entertainment.
Background and Planning
The project received State planning approval in February 2025, subject to specific conditions. Initially announced in June 2023, Dave & Buster's plans to roll out five stores across Australia. Founded in 1982 in Dallas, Texas, the brand now boasts 170 locations worldwide, with the majority in North America.
