For the first time ever, Perth families can experience the enchantment of the North Pole without leaving the city, as Santa's Christmas Village transforms the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre into a sprawling indoor festive wonderland this December.
A Festive Wonderland Under One Roof
The pop-up village will run from December 6 to 24, offering an immersive, all-ages Christmas experience designed to feel like wandering through Santa's own snowy hometown. Event organisers promise a magical escape from Western Australia's summer heat, with glowing lanterns, swirling "snow", roving elves and more than 20 attractions spread across multiple themed zones.
Carnival Amusements events director Sash Abreu said the village is an exciting new addition to Perth's event calendar, created by the same team behind Jurassic Kingdom and the Elizabeth Quay Fun Fair. "Perth is our home and we're passionate about bringing high-quality, family-friendly experiences to it," Ms Abreu said. "After decades of delivering large-scale family events, Santa's Christmas Village felt like the natural next step."
Attractions and Activities for All Ages
Families can explore a host of festive attractions, including:
- Candy Cane Lane
- The twinkling Holly Jolly Maze
- The North Pole Bakehouse for gingerbread decorating
- Rudolph's Funfair with carnival rides like the Dream Swinger and Runaway Train
- A chance to meet Santa himself for selfies and wish lists
Children's entry tickets include coupons for rides and activities, allowing them to cuddle singing reindeer, craft their own baubles, and post letters to Santa. Pre-schoolers will be delighted by special appearances from popular TV characters Chase and Marshall from Paw Patrol, who will star in a Christmas-themed live show.
Creating Cherished Family Memories
Brooke Thornton and her daughters, three-year-old Emmy and six-year-old Addy, were given a sneak peek at Santa's grotto ahead of the public opening. "We're most looking forward to Rudolph's Funfair and, of course, meeting Santa," Brooke said. "The girls have been talking about it non-stop — they can't wait to experience all the Christmas magic!"
Ms Abreu expressed her hope that the event would foster joy and togetherness. "My Christmas wish is that every family who visits Santa's Christmas Village leaves with memories they'll cherish forever," she said.
Tickets are on sale now, starting at $10 for adults and $25 for children, with kids' passes including valuable coupons for rides and activities.
