Fremantle International Street Arts Festival Transforms City into Vibrant Stage

The Fremantle International Street Arts Festival (FISAF) has officially been unveiled, marking its return for another spectacular year. Western Australia's major port city has been transformed into a dynamic stage for the Easter long weekend, with the festival running from April 3 to April 6, 2026.

Traffic Stops as Freo Lit Up with Street Performers

Street theatre, circus, comedy, and acrobats have brought traffic to a standstill across Fremantle, as attendees only need to walk around the city's streets to witness internationally-acclaimed acts. The festival spans from Fremantle Prison, through High Street and Market Street, all the way to the fishing boat harbour, creating a continuous flow of entertainment.

More than 160 free and family-friendly performances are injecting an electric energy into the heart of Fremantle. One of the standout acts includes acrobat Cho Kairin, who has traveled from China to showcase his incredible feats of balance and strength. Cho Kairin, continuing a family tradition that spans four generations, is joined by his Super Acrobat Team to deliver thrilling performances that captivate audiences.

Live Music and Continuous Entertainment

Live music fans can enjoy performances throughout the weekend, including rock 'n' soul grooves from Boom! Bap! Pow! and a fusion of music, daring acrobats, and laugh-out-loud comedy from Crazy Pony. Additionally, continuous busking entertainment features Fremantle's own top street performers demonstrating their best skills, such as fire eating, magic, dancing, and juggling.

For children, the festival offers special attractions like mermaids and a playful pirate at the Esplanade Hotel lagoon, along with the Bam Wow Amazing Show!, which is guaranteed to entertain both kids and the young at heart. The event provides a perfect opportunity for families to celebrate the Easter weekend with unique and engaging activities.

The Fremantle International Street Arts Festival highlights the city's vibrant cultural scene, drawing crowds from across the region to experience world-class street art in a lively, accessible setting.
