The festive season will sparkle on the coast this December as the beloved Carols at Scarborough makes its triumphant return. The free community celebration is set to light up the Scarborough foreshore on Sunday, December 14, promising an evening of classic Christmas cheer for Perth families.
A Night of Music and Community Spirit
Running from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM, the event is a joint initiative by the Scarborough Beach Association and the charity Neuromuscular WA. Attendees can settle into the beachside amphitheatre for a vibrant lineup of live performances. This year's stage will feature the powerful sounds of the Australian Army Band, the harmonious voices of Space2Sing, and energetic routines from Dance Etc.
Hayley Lethlean, CEO of Neuromuscular WA, says the event perfectly captures the essence of Christmas. "Carols at Scarborough is one of those events that truly captures the heart of the community," Ms Lethlean said. "It's about celebrating joy, Christmas and connection."
Supporting a Vital Cause
The night is more than just entertainment; it's a significant fundraiser. Throughout the evening, candles, carol booklets, and raffle tickets will be available for purchase, with all proceeds directly supporting Neuromuscular WA. This not-for-profit organisation has been assisting Western Australians living with neuromuscular conditions and their families since 1967.
"With every candle sold helps us continue supporting families living with these rare neuromuscular conditions across WA," Ms Lethlean added, highlighting how community participation directly fuels their vital work.

Families have some extra magic to look forward to, including a special visit from Santa Claus, courtesy of FIFO Wings. The evening will culminate in a spectacular fireworks display over the ocean, providing a dazzling finale.
Organisers are strongly encouraging the use of public transport due to limited parking and expected traffic congestion. Ongoing roadworks at the intersection of Scarborough Beach Road and West Coast Highway are likely to add to delays. A convenient option is the free SURFCAT shuttle service, which runs from Stirling Train Station directly to the Scarborough foreshore.
