Polish internet star Nikodem Czyżewski, widely known as Lil Narcyz, has been confirmed dead several weeks after his disappearance. He was 23 years old.
Disappearance and Discovery
The YouTuber had last been in contact with his family on April 8. Police in Gliwice, Poland, announced that their search had concluded after being informed that his body had been found in the Croatian city of Zagreb.
“The search for the young resident of our region has been ongoing since the report of his disappearance was received,” a police statement read. “Officers from the Gliwice Municipal Police Headquarters were involved in the operation and with the support of superior units, they verified every tip and every piece of information that could help determine the 23-year-old’s whereabouts.”
It is believed that the content creator had travelled to Croatia to find employment.
Online Career and Legacy
Lil Narcyz attracted upwards of 450,000 subscribers on YouTube, gaining popularity through lifestyle videos and humorous yet often controversial content. His diss tracks, targeting topics such as school and COVID-19, became particularly popular, with some racking up millions of views.
Despite building a sizeable following, Lil Narcyz had largely stepped away from creating content in recent years. His final YouTube upload dates back to November 21.
Following news of his death, his channel has been flooded with well-wishes from fans mourning his loss. “R.I.P. he was what he was, but I feel sorry for him,” one comment read. Another wrote: “It’s sad that we won’t see him again, my condolences to the family.”
