Mark Carroll's Daughter Indianna Makes NFL Cheer Squad

NRL legend Mark Carroll has paid a heartfelt tribute to his daughter Indianna after she fulfilled her lifelong dream of joining an NFL cheerleading squad. Indianna officially secured her spot on the Las Vegas Raiderettes team, the cheer squad for the Las Vegas Raiders.

Indianna announced the achievement on social media, posting a photo of the Raiderettes squad on her Instagram stories with the caption, “Honey I’m home.” The announcement marks the culmination of a remarkable journey for Indianna, who has cheered for the Manly Sea Eagles for the past decade.

This success comes after she narrowly missed out on a spot with the Dallas Cowboys cheer squad last year. Indianna’s perseverance and dedication have now paid off, earning her a place among the elite NFL cheerleaders.

Proud Father’s Tribute

Mark Carroll, a former NRL star, shared an emotional message on Instagram congratulating his daughter. He highlighted the adversity Indianna faced as a child, battling endometriosis, a painful condition that left her “crippled.”

“I couldn’t be prouder writing this about my beautiful daughter Indianna,” Carroll wrote. “As a young child her dream was always to cheer for an NFL side and I’m here to announce she has made the squad for the NFL Raiders. Looking back in years the adversity she has had to get through blows my mind.”

He continued: “As a young girl to be crippled with the most horrible decease, endometriosis. And now to be on the big stage of America NFL played on the TV to millions and millions of people each game. Look out team, my girl Indianna is about to blow you away Australian style.”

Carroll also praised his wife Monique for her unwavering support: “Also a massive shout out to my beautiful wife Monique, who has taught Indianna and has been by her side with the ups and downs in life. Today is a massive highlight for her. What a mother. Proud.”

Indianna’s Journey to the NFL

Indianna becomes the fourth Australian to make an NFL cheer squad, joining Faith Ward, Jinelle Esther, and Angela Nicotera. Before securing her spot, she thanked fans for their support and shared her determination to achieve her dream.

“I felt like I owed it to myself to keep going, to follow the quiet pull and see where the wind might carry me. So here I am,” she wrote last week. “I guess the uncertainty is part of the price, but so is the privilege of chasing something I love this fiercely. I really believe there is something so special about loving something enough to take the risk.”

Indianna expressed gratitude for the encouragement she received: “I’m still so moved by the support and belief that continues to surround my journey. Knowing I have an army of love, guidance & faith beside me fills my heart with immense pride and gratitude. Every message, every kind word, every piece of encouragement means more than I can say. Thank you for believing in me and my dream.”

She added: “I am incredibly honoured to be a Raiderettes finalist & am truly taken back by the support you’ve already shown in the fan vote. If you would like to support me, the voting link can be found in my bio. Cmon Raider Nation, your draft pick is from Indiana… surely there’s room for one more. Thank you from the bottom of my heart x.”

Indianna’s achievement is a testament to her resilience and passion, inspiring many with her story of overcoming health challenges to reach the biggest stage in American football.
